What is Olaplex?

Olaplex is a tool that permanently repairs damaged hair and actually prevents damage thanks to a unique, patented ingredient. Olaplex consists of a 7-step system. The first 2 products are applied in the salon, as a standalone treatment or as an additive to hair dye or bleach. You can use the remaining products at home to care for your hair.

 

How does Olaplex work?

Olaplex was invented by two highly skilled chemists: Dr. Eric Pressly and Dr. Craig Hawker. They discovered a chemical compound that consists of only one ingredient and contains no silicones or oils: Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. This unique, patented ingredient forms the basis of Olaplex's repairing properties.

 

Your hair is partly made up of disulfide bonds. These are very strong bonds that determine the structure of your hair. Styling, blow-drying, and dyeing the hair damages it and breaks the disulfide bonds in the hair. Olaplex repairs those broken bonds in the hair and is therefore the solution to bring damaged, dry, and lifeless hair back to top condition.

 

Olaplex products are also ideal for preventing split ends, allowing your hair to grow longer, or getting extra shine. Olaplex makes the hair stronger than ever before! The Olaplex products

Olaplex has 7 products that together form a complete treatment. Steps 1 and 2 take place in the salon. The other Olaplex products form a home treatment with which lifeless and damaged hair can easily be treated.

 

In the salon you can choose to add the products to the hair dye (or bleach) or apply them as a standalone treatment.

 

Olaplex No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment A primer that prepares the hair for Olaplex No. 3 so that it is better absorbed for maximum repair. This product contains the highest concentration of patented Olaplex technology that strengthens the hair bonds and protects the hair from harmful influences. The product is used in combination with Olaplex No. 3. Due to this unique combination and formulas, the hair repairs 68% more and is 3x stronger.		Olaplex No. 1 Bond Multiplier This first salon treatment is a highly concentrated product. It repairs the broken disulfide bonds and begins repairing the damage.
Olaplex No. 2 Bond Perfector The second step in the salon continues repairing and rebuilding the remaining broken disulfide bonds. This gives you the strongest, shiniest, and healthiest hair possible!		Olaplex No. 3 Hairperfector This Hairperfector from Olaplex is a treatment that repairs damaged hair! Olaplex No. 3 ensures that the softness, shine, and structure of the hair are maintained between salon treatments. In addition, Olaplex No. 3 is also the perfect product to prevent split ends. This Olaplex hair mask gives your hair a real boost and makes it wonderfully soft.
Olaplex No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo This is a cleansing and hydrating shampoo without sulfates that gives the hair extra shine and visibly improves the hair structure. Olaplex No. 4 gives the hair an intense shine every wash.		Olaplex No. 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner A hydrating conditioner for chemically treated hair. Olaplex No. 6 Bond Smoother This styling cream works just as nourishing as a leave-in conditioner.
